Local 80 Suspended / Dropped List
Names of our Local 80 kin listed herein are NOT ELIGIBLE FOR WORK. They are encouraged to contact Local 80 to make arrangements necessary to pay outstanding dues and assessments so that they may again become members in good standing, eligible again for both work and the Local 80 Death Benefit.
NOTE TO DEPARTMENT HEADS: The Department Head is responsible for determining that there are no members of his/her crew in violation of Article XV and VIII of the Local 80 Constitution and may be charged with such responsibility before the Local 80 Executive Board should violations be found under Article 1 Section 1 of Local 80’s By-Laws.
Per the Local 80 Constitution and Bylaws:
ARTICLE XV DUES AND ASSESSMENTS
- Section VI – Suspension
- Any member three months in arrears for dues shall be suspended
- Section VII – Reinstatement
- Any member having been suspended, and wishing to be reinstated shall pay all back dues and assessments plus Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollars reinstatement fee.
- Section VIII – Dropped From Membership
- Any member six months in arrears for dues shall be dropped from the membership
BY-LAWS : ARTICLE 1
- SECTION I – Trial by Executive Board
- If any act performed by a member of this Local is detrimental to the good and welfare of the Local, where laws are not provided for in this Constitution and By-Laws, the Executive Board shall have the power to try the person or persons and their decision shall be binding.
- SECTION XXIX – Working Without Dues Paid
- Any member working without her/his dues being paid shall be summarily fined Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollars, assessed by the Secretary-Treasurer.
