NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION FOR SECRETARY-TREASURER AND TRUSTEE

Effective as of April 29th, 2024 Jamie Young has officially resigned from his position as the Local 80 Secretary-Treasurer due to health reasons. (You can read a personal letter from Jamie to the membership in the May newsletter HERE)

Tommy Adams also resigned as a Trustee of Local 80 on May 5th, 2024.  He has retired from the Industry after 37 years of membership in Local 80 and we wish him the best in retirement.

There will be a special election (commonly referred to as a “Floor Election”) held at the June 2nd, 2024 General Membership Meeting, during which members in Good Standing and physically in attendance will be able to nominate other members who are also in Good Standing, per the eligibility standards of the Constitution and Bylaws, for the positions of Secretary-Treasurer and Trustee.

Once the eligibility of all Nominees is verified by the Interim Secretary-Treasurer there will be a Floor Election.  Only members in Good Standing and physically in attendance will be allowed to vote.
