2023 Local 80 Scholarship Winners
Congratulations to the winners of the 2023 Local 80 Scholarship Grant! This year’s challenge was to write an essay based on the Union messages and themes present in the award winning film “How Green Was My Valley” (1941 directed by John Ford).
Each recipient will receive $1,000 dollars towards an accredited vocational school, college, or university in the next twenty-four (24) months.

Local 80 would like to thank everybody who submitted essays and participated in this program. We hope that it was not only educational, but also highlighted the strength of organized labor and the Unions that fight for a better way of life for its members.
